A women’s clothing store inside a Chatham shopping centre is set to close down.

Select Fashion has confirmed its branch in the Pentagon Centre will close after notices were put up on the shop window.

Last April, the fashion chain had already shut 35 stores after it appointed insolvency firm Moorfields to launch a voluntary liquidation.

An exact closing date and the number of jobs affected is not known.

Select Fashion previously fell into administration in 2019, and is now owned by Turkish entrepreneur Cafer Mahiroğlu.

It was founded in the 1980s and is best known for its value clothing, accessories and footwear.

Future Medway has approached Select Fashion and the Pentagon Centre for a comment.
