Peacocks has closed its branch at Chatham’s Dockside Outlet Centre.

The clothing store shut for the final time today (26 October).

A closing down sale offering an extra 30% off marked prices took place over the last month.

The 8,000 sq ft store, which sold women’s, men’s and children’s clothing, first opened at the discount shopping centre in June 2017.

The nearest branch of Peacocks can now be found at 47-53 High Street, Gillingham.

But the unit will not stay empty for long as fashion and homeware retailer Choice is moving in.

Choice will relocate from its existing store next to the centre’s main entrance, due to plans to replace it with a McDonald’s and a Loungers bar and restaurant.

Peacocks and WD Limited, owners of Dockside Outlet Centre, did not respond to a request for comment.
