Lids has closed its Chatham store less than two years after it opened.

The American retailer, selling branded hats and sportswear, recently shut the branch in the Pentagon Centre.

It had only been open since October 2022.

The nearest alternative store is now located at Bluewater Shopping Centre.

Lids was founded in 1995 and has more than 1,100 stores around the world, including in the USA, Canada and France.

Lids and the Pentagon Centre did not respond to a request for comment.
