Strood’s former NatWest bank has been sold.

The vacant bank on the High Street was bought at an auction for £507,000.

It is not yet known who acquired it or what their plans are for the building.

NatWest shut the branch in March due to the decreased use of its counter service.

It was then put up for sale by property auctioneer BidX1, offered with a guide price of £250,000.

The nearest NatWest is now located in Chatham.
