B&M is opening a new store in Rainham.

The retail chain is taking over the former Wilko unit at Rainham Shopping Centre.

It is set to open on Friday, 23 February.

Customers can expect to find a wide variety of food and drink, health and beauty products, homeware, electricals, toys, games and gifts.

B&M also recently submitted a premises licence application to sell alcohol from 7am to 11pm daily.

The town’s Wilko closed last September after the company collapsed into administration and shut its 400 stores nationwide.

B&M bought 51 Wilko stores in a deal worth £13 million, with Rainham being one of them.

The discount chain has two existing stores in Medway, located in Chatham town centre and Strood Retail Park.

B&M and landlord LCP Group have been approached for comment.
